De bibliotheek was vroeger in de begin periode van de TU in het hoofdgebouw gevestigd op de oude delft. Het ruimtegebrek van de bibliotheek werd steeds erger. In 1915 werd er een nieuw gebouw gebouwd en de nieuwe bibliotheek werd geopend aan de Doelenstraat te Delft. Het album is ter afscheid aangeboden aan een medewerker. Het is afkomstig uit de jaren 1939-1942.
